IAM Reference Architecture

In order to understand how all 4 Elements of Identity & Access Management fit together, PDBS put together this Reference Architecture. It shows how Single Sign On (SSO) solutions can be placed in front of Applications in order to centralize Authentication. The Application's repositories and the Enterprise's Directories are shown for where the Data Elements are located. Provisioning solutions are connected to the Data Elements since this is an excellent way of automating repository changes. And Federation is shown for accessing external 3rd Party Applications.
